Steve Martin is completing his second year at Ashville High School after previous stints at
the University of Alabama at Birmingham (Head Football Strength Coach, '07-'11), the University of Alabama (Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach, '97-'06),Texas Christian University (Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, '93-'96), TCU (Graduate Assistant Football Coach, '92) Auburn University (Graduate Assistant Football Coach, '90-'91), and the University of Alabama (Graduate Assistant Strength Coach, '88-'89). He graduated from Locust Fork High School in Blount County in 1982, and spent a year at Jefferson State Community College before walking on to the football team at the University of Alabama from 1983 - 1985. He transferred to Samford University, where he played from 1986 - 1987. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Alabama in 1988. He is married to the former Corinne Sanders of Dallas, Texas. They have two daughters, Janie (17) and Claire (15).
